Appeal for matching NIK to NPWP

In accordance with the Amendment to Ministerial Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia Number 136/PMK.03/2023 concerning about Individual Taxpayer Identification Numbers, Corporate Taxpayers and Government Agency Taxpayers, we inform you that the Identity Number (NIK) 16 digits is valid as an NPWP.

The 15-digit NPWP can still be used for customer banking facilities until June 30 2024. Starting from July 1 2024, all Taxpayers must use a 16-digit NPWP.

If the customer has not converted his NIK to NPWP until the specified date, he will be deemed not to have an NPWP and there is a risk that the Bank will not be able to provide full service to the customer.

For your convenience in transactions, we urge you to immediately carry out the process of matching your NIK to NPWP by accessing the website pajak.go.id and update the data to Bank Shinhan Indonesia.

In accordance with applicable tax regulations, the Bank can verify the correctness of the NPWP data or information submitted by the Customer to the Bank. In connection with this, the Bank carries out an inspection through the General of Taxes Directorate (DJP) system and Bank will send the Customer's Name and NPWP data to the DJP for validation. For NPWPs with validated status, the Bank will update the 16-digit NPWP data to the Bank's system.
